Lienen– Mit dem großartige Ergebnis von 114.000 Euro endete am Sonntagabend die Online-Charity-Auktion von horse24.com für 112 Deckgeldgutscheine. Bieter aus ganz Europa beteiligten sich an der Online-Auktion, die in zwei Teilen lief und deren Erlös ohne Abzug von Kosten zwei Hilfsorganisationen zugute kommt, die an der ukrainischen Grenze flüchtenden Menschen und Tieren mit allen zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln helfen. Ärzte ohne Grenzen e.V. ist sogar mit mobilen OP im Einsatz, kümmert sich um die medizinische Versorgung von Erkrankten – Equiwent: Hilfe für Mensch und Tier e.V. unterstützt Menschen und die organisiert Pferdetransporte, bzw. hilft bei der Erstunterbringung und Quarantäne.
Der Auktionserlös geht beiden Organisationen ohne Abzug von Kosten zu gleichen Teilen zu. Die 112 Deckgeldgutscheine wurden in der in zweiteiligen Auktion am Sonntagnachmittag versteigert. Aus sieben Ländern kamen 1290 Gebote und bescherten umgerechnet einen Durchschnitt von 1.017 Euro. Möglich machten die Charity-Auktion Gestüte und Hengsthaltungen, die sich ohne zu zögern beteiligt haben und teilweise sogar mehrere Deckgeldgutscheine für die Auktion bereit stellten. Renommierte Adressen für die Pferdezucht aus ganz Deutschland und dem benachbarten Ausland waren dabei: Schockemöhle und Helgstrand, die Böckmann Pferde GmbH, die Haupt- und Landgestüte Neustadt-Dosse und Marbach, die Gestüte Ligges, Birkhof, Bonhomme und Schafhof, aus dem Ausland Van Olst Horses (Niederlande) und Zangersheide (Belgien) und viele andere bekannte Adressen mehr. Geboten und gesteigert wurde fleißig, die Hengste weckten ganz klar Begehrlichkeiten, Vererber für die unterschiedlichen Disziplinen waren dabei.
Transparenz für alle Beteiligten
Eigens für die Charity-Auktion wurde ein separates Konto bei der VR-Bank Ellwangen eingerichtet. “Transparenz ist uns wichtig”, unterstreicht Initiator Kohlenbrenner, “wir veröffentlichen die von der Bank bestätigten Überweisungen an die Hilfsorganisationen und weitere Infos unter dem Menüpunkt “Weitere Infos” bei der jeweiligen Auktion.”
Horse24.com stockt den Auktionserlös im übrigen selbst um 10.000 Euro auf. “Wir sind sowohl den Gestüten und Hengsthaltungen, als auch den Bietern sehr dankbar, dass sie das Anliegen unterstützt und zu einem so großen Erfolg gemacht haben”, so Simon Kohlenbrenner, Inhaber der Online-Auktionsplattform Horse24.com und Initiator der Charity-Auktion. Die erfolgreiche Bieter/innen erhalten in den kommenden Tagen ihren Deckgeldgutschein, gleichzeitig werden die Gestüte und Hengsthaltungen benachrichtigt, um eine korrekte und problemlose Abwicklung zu gewährleisten.
HORSE24 Charity Auction – 114,000 euros raised
Lienen/ Germany– A charity auction of 112 stud fee vouchers hosted by horse24.com came to a close on Sunday evening, with the event having raised a phenomenal 114,000 euros. Bidders from right across Europe took part in the online auction, the proceeds of which will be split in two and donated in full to two aid organizations working tirelessly to support refugees at the Ukraine border, as well as animals. Ärzte ohne Grenzen e.V. (Doctors Without Borders) is a mobile surgery unit, dedicated to providing medical care for those who are injured or unwell. Equiwent: Hilfe für Mensch und Tier e.V. (Aid for People and Animals) supports people and organizes horse transportation – for example arranging emergency accommodation and quarantine facilities.
The proceeds of the auction will be donated to both organizations without deduction of costs – half to each organization. The 112 stud fee vouchers were sold in the two-part auction on Sunday afternoon. 1290 bids were made from bidders in seven different countries, achieving an average sale price of 1,017 euros. The charity auction was made possible by the generosity of a number of stud farms and stallion owners who signed up to participate without hesitation and donated a stud fee voucher – or in some cases several of them – to the auction. Plenty of big names in horse breeding from across Germany and beyond were amongst those taking part: Schockemöhle & Helgstrand, Böckmann Pferde GmbH, Haupt- und Landgestüte Neustadt-Dosse and Marbach, the Ligges, Birkhof, Bonhomme and Schafhof studs, as well as names from abroad such as Van Olst Horses (Netherlands) and Zangersheide (Belgium), plus many more renowned breeding stations. The bids came in thick and fast – the stallions were certainly desirable – and there were sires representing a range of disciplines on offer.
Transparency for all involved
A new account was opened at the Ellwangen branch of VR Bank especially for the charity auction. “Transparency is very important to us”, emphasizes the auction’s organizer Simon Kohlenbrenner, “we shared the bank’s confirmations of the transfers of the proceeds with the aid organizations and provided further information during the auction under the “Further Information” section of the website.”
Horse24.com supplemented the proceeds of the auction themselves with a donation of 10,000 euros. “We are immensely grateful to all the stud farms and stallion owners involved, and the bidders, for getting behind the project and helping secure such a fantastic outcome”, said Kohlenbrenner, owner of online auction platform Horse24.com and organizer of the charity auction. The successful bidders will receive their stud fee vouchers in the next few days, whilst the stud farms and stallion owners will receive all the instructions necessary to ensure a smooth and successful redemption of the vouchers.
